Jack Chester's Interpretation of the Seven Days of Creation, 2012.

This painting is based upon the concept of Alchemy in exploring the spirituality of Christians. The painting portrays images that symbolize concepts relevant to the Christian faith and journey.
This part symbolizes the struggle of the human mind in which Satan creates fear of freedom, thus trapping us in our own minds. The brain cage represents the human mind which has the blue birds inside it. The blue birds represent our actions of stepping out in faith as Christians. We (the blue swallows) are to scared to step out in faith because of fear of Satan (the purple hawk), however Jesus (the golden eagle) will protect us from Satan because he beat him at the cross and cares for us.
The megaphone represents the human body, the record how we are all different. As sinners we sin represented by the black liquid and it isn't very nice. The black sin will then kill us (the heart) as the punishment for sin is death. But Jesus sacrifices himself (the hand) to save us, just as he did when he died on the cross. We are now saved by Jesus and now can produce music (good works) because we have Jesus (something goo) inside our hearts giving alternative unselfish motives.

Genesis 1 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Genesis 3 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
